About the PTA
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students within the school.
The Lindbergh PTA holds fun and educational events throughout the school year to celebrate our community and raise funds to support our wonderful students and staff.
Mission Statement
The Lindbergh PTA is a nonprofit association of parents, educators, and community members working together to promote a quality education and positive learning environment for every child. Our mission is to help facilitate and provide leadership in the areas of parent communication, student enrichment, classroom support, and family-centered events.
2026-2027 PTA Board
Jouhaina Bazzi,
President
Jouhaina has two children at Lindbergh, one in 5th grade and one in Kindergarten, as well as a third child at Nowlin Elementary School in 3rd grade. She has been a homeroom parent and active volunteer for several years. In addition , she has served as vice president and is currently the treasurer of the district wide Special Education PTA.
Layla Makki,
1st Vice President
Layla is a proud parent and an active member of the Charles A. Lindbergh Elementary school community. She is a mom of three Lindbergh students—one in 4th grade, one in 3rd grade, and one in Kindergarten. She has been a homeroom parent every year and has served as Bake Sale Chair for the past two years. She is excited to serve as PTA Vice President and looks forward to supporting teachers, creating fun experiences for students, and bringing families together
Malissa Shade,
2nd Vice President
Malissa has one daughter at Lindbergh in 2nd grade and a 4 year old and a 3 year old in preschool at CHUP CO-OP. She is currently VP on CHUP’s school board and runs her own sewing business. She has been an active PTA volunteer for two years as well as homeroom parent. This is her first year on the PTA board.
Erin Smith,
Secretary
Erin has been a Lindbergh parent since 2019, and is mom to a 6th grader, a 4th grader, and a preschooler. She has been involved in a variety of volunteer roles with the PTA and is looking forward to continuing to serve the Lindbergh community as a member of the board.
Lindsey Tilley,
Treasurer
Lindsey has two children at Lindbergh, a son in 3rd grade and a daughter in 1st grade. She has been an active PTA member, Homeroom parent, Halloween Dance co-chair and Bingo for Books chair. She has volunteered at many events and is currently the co-chair for the Holiday Boutique.

Reimbursement for classroom supplies: Every year, we use money raised from our Holiday Boutique Basket Raffle to reimburse teachers for classroom supplies they purchase with their own money throughout the year.
