February Scholastic Book Fair Recap

Hi Lindbergh Flyers!

The 2022-2023 year was AMAZING for Book Fair sales! Total sales for the February Book Fair were $6,798 with $3,399 Scholastic Dollars earned. This brings our Year-end Scholastic Dollars to an ASTONISHING $9,216 - WOW! Not only do we love seeing our Lindbergh students excited about reading but that’s A LOT of scholastic dollars. What does that actually mean for Lindbergh staff and students?

-New books for the teachers’ classrooms (Don’t forget! you can also send teachers eGiftcards to help with wish lists.)

-New books for Ms. Tiba’s birthday box: Did you know that when your child has a birthday, they can visit Ms. Tiba and get a free book?

-Updated book rooms: Both the upper and lower elementary have their own book rooms where the teachers supply leveled books for students’ book bags. These get A LOT of wear and tear and need updating from time to time.

-Book prizes for March is Reading Month and All School Read

-New books for our school Library

-Other books and supplies needed in the classrooms and for students.

-Community support: If your family has a hardship and can’t participate in the Book Fair, come talk to us, judgment free. Our Scholastic dollars can also help make these books more affordable!

An ENORMOUS thank you to all our volunteers for our last Scholastic Book Fair of the school year!

A special thanks to: Ameena Baydoun, Dakota DeSantis, Nicole Assaad, Elma Dzinic, Lisa Fawaz, Mona Fawaz, Johanna Cameron, Maryem Hojeij, Hawraa Hussein, Faten Dabajeh, Shereen Saad, Zeinab Chehade, Katie Hetrick, Manel Dourra, Nadeen Saad, Brandy Ahmed and Julie Trzeciak.

A special shout out to our Book Fair PTA Chairs - Thank you Anna and Sarah. You’re the BEST!

Last but certainly not least, a message from our Scholastic Book Fair Chairs:

Thanks to everyone who volunteered and made purchases at the Book Fair! We had a very successful sale of almost $6800. Lindbergh keeps 50% of the sales in the form of Scholastic Dollars, which we will be able to use towards more books for our teachers and students. The students learned great budgeting skills, how to be independent shoppers, and so many of them were generous in buying for siblings and friends. We hope they enjoy their new books! -Anna & Sarah

Reminders: STEAM Night and Popcorn Friday 2/24!

Have a wonderful day Flyers!

-Lana, Katie, Zeinab, Lisa & Sandra
